I am a Brazilian graphic designer with more than ten years of experience in the field. I have been dedicating the last ten years of my career to the sharing of my knowledge through the social media and network and through my online course. Therefore, it was necessary to create a project in which the brand could consider its behavior in the digital environment: posts, videos, blogs, among other media. While analyzing that it have led me to a group of six basic premises that the project should reach and which show important characteristics about me:
Be Minimalist / Basic / Neutral
Be Simple / Clear / Objective
Represent Connection / Community / Geek Universe
Represent the content first and then create the design
Withdraw everything that does not add
Share all the knowledge

Sou um designer gráfico brasileiro com mais de 10 anos de experiência na área. Durante os últimos anos tenho me dedicado a compartilhar conhecimento nas redes sociais e através do meu curso online. Portanto foi preciso criar um projeto de marca que considerasse seu comportamento no ambiente digital: posts, vídeos, blogs, entre outras mídias.

One of the goals was to create an element that would represent the power of the internet connection. When people get connected with a common goal, three things happen:
Sum
It represents the connection between people. It is the basic principle of social networking, when you need to add someone to connect to them.
Multiplication
Bringing people together is a powerful learning tool. We learn much faster in community than alone.
Division
The learning experience can only become real if everyone shares what they know.

Um dos objetivos foi criar um elemento que representasse o poder que a conexão de pessoas pode ter através da internet. Quando pessoas se conectam com um objetivo em comum, 3 coisas acontecem:
Soma
Representa a conexão entre pessoas. É o princípio básico das redes sociais, onde você precisa adicionar alguém para se conectar a ela.
Multiplicação
Juntar pessoas é uma ferramenta poderosa de aprendizado. Aprendemos muito mais rápido em comunidade do que sozinhos.
Divisão
A experiência de aprendizado só pode se tornar real se todos dividirem o que sabem.
Inspiration / Inspiração

I have searched at the Kimura’s family for some visual elements that I could use. The Kamon of the Kimura’s family was one of the elements chosen for its simplicity and strength. The Kanji writing form of my surname also was an inspiration. Its horizontal and vertical forms convey stability and security.
The pixel represents my participation in the digital environment. The pixel is the smallest element which can be measured in an image. It is only a point, but when it meets other pixels it becomes a powerful tool capable of creating images, letters and shapes with infinite possibilities, bringing back the community context.
The pixels also were inspiration for creating the icons.

Fui buscar na história da família Kimura alguns elementos visuais que eu pudesse usar. O Kamon da família Kimura foi um dos elementos escolhidos pela sua simplicidade e força. A escrita em Kanji do meu sobrenome também serviu de inspiração. Suas formas horizontais e verticais transmitem estabilidade e segurança.
O pixel representa minha presença no ambiente digital. O pixel é o menor elemento que se pode medir em uma imagem. É apenas um ponto, mas quando encontra com outros pixels se torna uma ferramenta poderosa capaz de formar imagens, letras e formas com possibilidades infinitas, trazendo novamente o contexto de comunidade.
Os pixels também serviram de inspiração para a criação dos ícones.
